Policies

ROOM RATES

Room rates are based on double occupancy for 2016 plus Lodging tax/assessment of 12% which is subject to change. Advance reservations are strongly recommended. Seasonal rates apply. Additional adults are $20/night (up to four adults included in the base rate for the family suite. No additional charge for children.

– The rates include a fresh, hearty, breakfast including a daily-made casserole and homemade waffles served to all guests from 7-10 AM (8-10 AM from October-May), free parking and free Wi-Fi.

– Guests also have access to a great room with fireplace, a small library, board games and puzzles, and coolers which can be used in rooms.

– Ask about borrowing a can of bear spray, hiking pole, or snow shoes.

ACCESSIBILITY

As the property has multiple levels due to its hillside location, guests will have to use stairs to enter and move around the home. The innkeepers/owners are available to assist with luggage handling.

CHILDREN

Children are welcome at the Duck, but the unique layout and design of the home requires parents to keep a close watch. For very young children, we have both a portable pack ‘n play (with bed linens) and a high chair ready for your visit.

SMOKE-FREE PROPERTY

The Duck Inn Lodge is a smoke free property. Smoking is permitted on the room balconies, but we ask you to please close your window while doing so. Offending guests will be charged a cleaning fee.

DEPOSIT POLICY

Because we are a small, privately run business, cancellations have a tremendous impact on our business. Therefore, we require a one night deposit at the time of booking. If you must cancel:

A full refund less a $25.00 service fee will be given with at least 30 days notice.
Within 30 days of the date of reservation, no refund will be provided.
Cancellations within 24 hours and no shows will be charged the full amount of their stay.

We do understand that no one books a reservation with the intention of cancelling, but unexpected events do occur, so it is highly recommended that you purchase travel insurance. Most travel insurance must be purchased within 14 days of making your reservation. For more information on trip cancellation insurance, please contact your travel agent or airline customer service department.

CHECK IN

Check-in is between 3-10 PM. Please contact us in advance if you would like to make special arrangements. If we miss you during our check-in period, you will find a note on the front door from us.

CHECK OUT

By 11 AM. In non-peak season, late check-out can be requested depending upon availability

QUIET HOURS

We kindly ask that quiet hours be respected in common areas after 10 PM, and that all guests please retire to their room by 11 PM or head out for the night on the town.
